This logo design was created for Nova Scotia’s beloved Wild Caraway Restaurant. Inspired by nature and the spirit of creativity, Wild Caraway was looking for a logo that would represent its fun restaurant atmosphere, colorful B&B cottages, and seasonal menu focused on locally foraged ingredients.

For this project, the client requested we use the caraway plant as the main illustrative element of the logo. I began the design process by creating a series of preliminary logo designs featuring a variety of flower placements, as well as different typeface and text placement options.

A color palette was created based on the colorful cottages available for rent at the restaurant. We experimented with a variety of color applications, and even created a few iterations using watercolors and ink. In the end, the client decided to go with one of the clean, multicolored digital illustrations. A floral background was created for use in business cards, and signage.
