For this project, a new brand identity needed to be created to help Budbuddy stand out from it’s competitors. Instead of creating a busy brand identity with busy illustrations complicated and text hierarchy, we decided to opt for a simple, clean typeface and a fun, friendly characterized logo.

Because cannabis branding guidelines vary from one province to another, it was important to create a design which could be easily modified to suit the requirements of any given location.

We decided to create two main designs styles, one with discreet packaging following the Canadian Cannabis Packaging Guidelines, and one with the original Budbuddy Character branding.

A Branding Guideline document was created for internal use, including recommendations for typeface usage, color application and text hierarchy.
